Global Entry Interview
All Global Entry applicants must attend a compulsory interview at a Global Entry enrollment center of their choice. Failure to schedule or attend an interview will result in immediate denial to the Global Entry program.
The interview lasts for around 30 minutes; during this time the interviewing officer takes the applicants biometric data which consist of the following:-
- A photograph of the applicant;
- Digital fingerprint scan;
- Iris scans
The border crossing agent will also authenticate the information provided on the application form by checking it against the applicant’s original documentation (passport, proof of address etc). Finally, the Global Entry enrollment officer will explain how the program works and answer any questions. After 7-10 days you will receive your Global Entry membership card in the post. Global Entry membership is valid for 5 years. Global Entry applicants will be told at the interview if they have been approved for the Global Entry program. Once the membership card has been received and activated you can use the Global Entry kiosks.
